Why Dental Assisting?

As a dental assistant, you’d have an in-demand career with a relatively short training period and a flexible schedule. For people with inflexible schedules, such as parents, the flexibility of dental assisting can be a huge plus!

What does work as a Dental Assistant look like?

Dental Assistants work both at the front desk and with patients

CLINICAL:

ADMIN:

  • Work side-by-side with dentists and 
    hygienists during patient care
  • Educate patients on oral health
  • Perform X-rays and dental molds
  • Sterilize equipment and prep patient rooms

 

  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain dental records
  • Collect payments and submit claims
  • Order and stock supplies
